MMMS2018 First Call for Papers 

THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
ON
MATERIAL, MACHINES AND METHODS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Time: May 18-19, 2018
Location: Da Nang province, VIETNAM

The first International Conference on Material, Machines and Methods for Sustainable Development will be held in the charming city of Da Nang, Vietnam on May 18-19, 2018. The event is hosted by the Vietnam Association for Science Editing (VASE) in collaboration with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Da Nang University of Technology (UDN), Kyungpook National University (KNU-Korea), Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT-Japan), Thai Society of Mechanical Engineers (TSME), Vietnam Federation of Mechanical Engineering Associations (VFMEA) and Council of Asian Science Editors (CASE).

Researchers, policy makers, industry, practitioners and students from all countries are welcome.

CONFERENCE AIMS

The purpose of the conference is to explore and ensure an understanding of the critical aspects which contributed to sustainable development, especially materials, machines and methods. From such understanding, the conference aims at an overall approach to assist policy makers, industries and researchers at various levels to position the local technological development towards sustainable development in the global context, to assist decision making towards a greener approach especially for material, machines and methods.

TOPICS

The topics of the conference include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Advanced materials, material applications towards sustainability

• Materials machining and processing technologies for reduction of environmental impact

• Life cycle engineering, impact assessment and control for machines and processes

• Sustainable machine design: mechatronics, CAD/CAM/CAE, maritime engineering

• Industrial engineering towards sustainability

• Low carbon industry, efficient systems, energy efficiency and energy saving

• Renewable energy, alternative fuels

• 15/11/2017: Deadline for submission of abstract

• 15/12/2017: Notification of abstract acceptance

• 01/02/2018: Deadline for full paper submissions

• 15/03/2018: Notification of final paper acceptance

• 16/03/2018: Registration open

• 05/04/2018: Final program and Instructions for Participants

• 18-19/05/2018: Conference

GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

• Abstracts, of a maximum of 600 words, should be submitted to the conference page and should indicate the topic and whether they relate to a poster, paper.

PUBLICATION POLICY

• Full papers will be published on the conference proceedings with ISBN.

• Selected papers will be invited to be published in journals relevant to the topics.

CONFERENCE FEES

• Normal registration until 20/03/2018: 150 USD

• Normal registration after 20/03/2018: 200 USD

• Student registration: 120 USD

The fees include admission to all scientific sessions, the publication of 1 paper, conference materials, coffee breaks and lunches, social events. In order to have 1 paper published at least 1 registration fee has to be paid by 02/04/2018.
